So far, it is doing its job. Fast delivery and easy hook up if you size match everything. In my grow setup I have the Vivosun tent, 6”fan, and 6” ducting.
1st setup I tried the filter siting on the ground (intake option) outside the tent with the fan on top and the ducting to the tent. Saved space, the fan fit right into the filter, it ran decently quiet but, when I got close to the filter I could smell a faint plant/flower scent. 2nd and current setup is the filter inside the tent hung above the plants. (A little scary because this thing is heavy) Then ducting straight to the fan which sits outside tent. I smell nothing coming out of the fan and the fan doesn’t seem to be working too hard, though I do notice a little more restriction this way. So my verdict. Out of the box the filter kills the Mary Jane smell. The filter seems to flow effortlessly as a intake filter, but works more effectively as a exhaust filter.
I am a happy customer.

Time will tell about smell. Really liked the buckle straps that came with it. Made install a breeze. If I had 4 self taping screws and some aluminum metal ducting tape would of gone with that. Seems like another great vivosun product. Running a Topogrow 315 watt Ceramic Metal Halide. Will be adding a small cheap led during bloom to enhance spectrum. Update: This filter really does the job. Have a 4x4 tent filled with Garlic Cookies at 7 weeks and not a smell outside the tent. This stuff really stinks too. Great job Vivosun! Really gives you peace of mind. I am in a legal state. About the 315 watt ceramic Topogrow light. No need to add a led light. My buds are total frost. In fact I don't think there is a LED made that performs like this Ceramic metal halide. I mean it is impressive. A 630 watt cmh is way too much light for my 4x4 vivosun grow tent. In closing just wanted to mention a 4x4 flood and drain table with 4 inch rockwool cubes would be a interesting grow. Running 4 10 gallon fabric pots with Foxfarm ocean forest soil with the Foxfarm trio.

I know these are for growing cannabis mostly, however, I cannot grow in my state so I just consume it here. but I made a nice little room to where this thing is always running so when I do decide to partake in consuming my medicine, it really helps with not stinking up the house. depending on how it's hooked up. it might actually completely stop the smell. very nice. after a year and a half though I do notice it's going to need to be replaced soon.

On my second one. No issues.

I like being able to invert the ends for a little more longevity.

For my non-standard use, I run a duct from my above-the-oven microwave, through the top cabinet, onto the top of the cabinet where it sits. Magnitude more charcoal filtering going on. CFM rating is much higher than the microwave, so I do not believe their is too much back pressure on the fans. Filtering of cooking odors is significantly better in my condo! I have not been able to devise anything close to this good for filtering cooking smells in my condo. Surprised there is no commercial kit/product catering to microwave owners in my situation.

I edited this shortly after the review but it seems like the edit was not approved or it just didn't go through. Within a day of leaving the review, I was contacted by the seller and sent a replacement for free that arrived in just a couple days. The replacement worked great. I would absolutely buy from this seller again, and I already have since the first review.

Pretty irritated on this one. Barely 3 weeks hooked up to my tent with two small cannabis plants at roughly 1.5 feet, so definitely small, and the whole place is skunked up. Filter was working hardly at all. I've switched and done both push and pull through it with only a tiny bit of success, but only for the first day after switching. Yes, there is negative pressure in my tent, and yes, I use aluminum ducting repair tape on the joints so there was no leaks. Luckily it's the end of my grow now.
